On a nice day, Alki Beach is about the most crowded place in town. 

Just a mile away, however, is a park that sometimes you can you can have all to yourself. 

Me-Kwa-Mooks Park is located on the south side of Alki Point. 

From here the park looks like just a field with some BBQ stands and picnic tables.  But if you head up the hill, you find a 20-acre wild expanse of trees and wildlife.
