About 100 people showed up on Saturday afternoon to show their support for keeping the South Park Bridge open as part of Hands Across the Duwamish.

King County, who owns the bridge, is planning on shutting down the bridge on June 30 if a solution to the crumbling bridge's issues.  The goal of this event was to raise awareness to the bridge's plight and of the bridge's importance to Seattle.

The hope was to link hands across the length of the bridge.  They didn't quite make it, but they stretched out over a good portion of the bridge.
