Local animal advocates come together to help injured dog

A Burien vet, a Seahurst rescue group and a non-profit from West Seattle all came together this weekend to help a little dog with a big injury.

Luna, a Miniature Pinscher, fell off a table at her owner’s home Friday and broke her leg. Unfortunately, the owners did not have the money to cover her surgery.

That’s when Seahurst’s Animal Aid and Rescue Foundation stepped in to help. They brought Luna to South Seattle Vet in Burien where they put plates in Luna’s leg with no money up front. The Furry Faces Foundation stepped in to donate $300 of Luna’s bill and generous donors have paid more. Now, there is just $200 remaining on Luna’s bill.

If you would like to donate, please call South Seattle Vet at (206) 242-8338 or donate online.
